Well, “Hello world!”
According to ChatGPT, the cultural legacy of the phrase “Hello, World!” has become a universal programming initiation ritual — appearing in textbooks, documentation, memes, and even art installations. It symbolizes beginnings, learning, and connection between humans and machines. We, at MetaLark, feel we have arrived at that precise moment in our own evolution.
Allow us to introduce MetaLark.ai – a new, standalone product offering from OnPoint Digital built to support the content-centric needs of L&D teams across the global market. Perhaps bucking the trend in AI-focused learning tech innovations, MetaLark is not a content development tool; rather, it is offered as a flexible yet extensive toolkit designed to assist content planners and developers as well as the people who manage, lead and support those teams – including content publishers, integrators and even vendors – in their efforts to capture, identify and deeply understand the value of the content found in an organization to help solve enterprise training challenges.
MetaLark leverages the power and potential of advantaged generative artificial intelligence tools and proven machine learning techniques to streamline and accelerate the often tedious tasks of learning content review and analysis via asset and package-specific parsers that open and scrap all of the actual content locked inside your so those results can be used to fill in gaps, improve metadata, align your content with inferred skills, and gain valuable insights about what you have versus what you need or what should be refreshed or migrated to another system (e.g., authoring tool, LMS, an LLM for agentic AI usage).
The MetaLark toolkit is designed for both individual and teams across multiple use cases spanning (a) enterprise learning planners and leaders, (b) content designers and developers (as internal teams or external consultants), (c) learning-centric systems integrators, and (d) fellow LMS/LXP platform vendors all of whom are contracted to support the highly diverse and ever-changing needs of their users/clients/customers when tasked with delivering learning content to their respective target consumers and ecosystems. Each of these use case leverages a common set of standard features and functions found within the MetaLark solution set but each also has unique requirements we seek to also provide within the same overall framework.
While officially launching here today, the core concepts underpinning MetaLark have been in development for the better part of the past year and served as our “north star” as we’ve navigated our voyage through the same uncharted (and often rough) waters all software companies and tech vendors are grabbling with in the “age of artificial intelligence”. Throughout this journey, our company and teams have concentrated on creating AI-centric solutions that are not just the sort of “me too” offerings every LMS vendor has bolted onto their platform but instead focused us on offering something that’s impactful and cost effective for the learning marketplace we serve.
We feel MetaLark represents a confluence of our efforts to leverage the power and potential of new-age generative artificial intelligence applied to learning-centric opportunities in balance with the practical realities of applying proven machine learning techniques all informed by twenty plus years of earned experience identifying, understanding and resolving challenges faced by our former, current and potential customers. In short, we’re not developing these solutions to tick requirements boxes; rather, we seek to find practical, unique and cost-effective ways to deliver solutions others have overlooked or may not realize are even important to what L&D teams and vendors face every day.
Most importantly, we endeavor to position MetaLark as a highly flexible and useful “Content Intelligence Toolkit” rather than as a end-to-end learning platform like our own legacy LMS/LXP offerings. And that’s one of the core reasons we present MetaLark to the world via its’ new playful brand via a fresh new website and sporting a new modern interface design and sensibility. The toolkit rests atop a completely new technology and application stack quite far apart from the legacy LMS/online and CellCast/mobile Solution platforms that have supported OnPoint’s customers since our initial product launch back in 2002. We started afresh because we wanted MetaLark to be easily accessible, value oriented and compelling enough for allow new customers to access myriad benefits and attain practical results in time horizons measured in hours rather than weeks or months.
And MetaLark allows us to think differently for ourselves and our customers. To offer a pricing model based on actual content items ingested/processed instead of expensive recurring user fees or hosting charges. To enable self-service onboarding processes instead of scheduled implementation programs with endless project management meetings. To commit to business via click-through legal agreements instead of Master Services Agreements and Statements of Work. In the end, MetaLark allows our customers to attain insights that can help them understand the value and intelligence locked inside their learning content so you can effectively make decisions about what they have today and where they go tomorrow rather than just dealing the daily grind of organizing and managing all their existing learning programs and legacy platforms in a current state of limbo.
So, we invite everyone to join us on our journey. We encourage skills learning professionals to review our website, get to know what’s contain in and great about MetaLark, and then sign up for a no cost 14-day evaluation site so everyone can begin to experience the value of a Content Intelligence Toolkit for themselves!
