The MetaLark Content Intelligence Server (MetaLark MCIS) analyzes learning content
without it ever leaving the organization, then makes the results available in the AI tools
L&D teams already use.
SAVANNAH, Ga. – Nov. 5, 2026 – Most L&D teams want a clear picture of what’s inside their learning content libraries: what’s outdated, what’s duplicated and which skills it already covers. For many organizations, getting that picture stalls at the security review, because the content can’t leave the company. OnPoint Digital’s MetaLark.ai team today announced the MetaLark Content Intelligence Server (MetaLark MCIS), a new edition of MetaLark that runs its full content intelligence toolkit inside the organization’s own cloud environment, so the content never leaves its control. MetaLark MCIS will be generally available later this month.
MetaLark MCIS is built for corporate L&D teams, for systems integrators building learning solutions for their clients, and for LMS vendor partners who want to add content intelligence to their own platforms. MetaLark’s team handles setup, updates and support, so L&D teams get the full benefit of MetaLark without having to run the technology themselves.
“Many of the organizations we work with want content intelligence, but they want their content to stay inside their own operating environments, and that’s a reasonable thing to ask,” said Robert Gadd, OnPoint’s cofounder and Managing Director at MetaLark.ai. “MetaLark MCIS gives them that. The other piece that matters to teams today is the MCP Server. Once MetaLark has read a library, that knowledge shouldn’t sit in one more dashboard. The MCP Server lets the AI assistants and tools a team already uses work with it directly, and that’s where L&D starts moving a lot faster and improving the learning experience for their organization.”
What L&D teams can do with MetaLark
MetaLark works like a digital MRI for learning content. MetaLark MCIS includes every feature of the MetaLark Content Intelligence Toolkit, so L&D teams can:
- See what’s actually in their library, including all content locked inside their legacy SCORM packages, videos, podcasts, images/infographics, PDFs, Office-style documents and more
- Find outdated, overlapping and duplicate content and take action to reduce clutter
- Determine which skills their content already covers, without manual tagging
- Search for any word/term, specific language or topics across their entire content library, down to the exact page, slide or moment inside a media clip
- Decide what to retain, refresh, retire or reuse
Do more, faster, with the MetaLark MCP Server
MetaLark MCIS also includes the MetaLark MCP Server and a set of ready-made tools. MCP, short for Model Context Protocol, is a common standard that lets AI assistants and other software connect to a source of information. For L&D teams, that means AI assistants and agents, the LMS, cloud drives and other learning tools can all work directly with what MetaLark finds. Teams no longer have to export reports or wait on a data request. They can ask an AI assistant which courses cover a given skill, pull every module that mentions a retired policy, or gather existing content to start a new program.
What to tell IT
MetaLark MCIS runs in the organization’s own Amazon Web Services (AWS) account. MetaLark engineers work inside it only when the organization grants access, and only for a set period of time, an approach MetaLark calls Forward Deployed Engineering. The organization decides who can see scanned content using the access controls it already has.
A simpler way to pay
Organizations buy a software license sized to their expected use, with annual maintenance that covers support and updates, then purchase content processing credits only when they need them. There are no MetaLark hosting fees and no per-user seat fees, so access isn’t limited by how many seats were bought. Cloud costs are paid through the organization’s own AWS account.
Availability
MetaLark MCIS will be generally available beginning later this month. L&D teams, systems integrators and LMS vendors can learn more at https://metalark.ai/MCIS/ or by contacting sales@metalark.ai.
